Day 19 - October 3rd

We left Deanna's Sunday morning and made our way to Montezuma Castle.

Montezuma Castle was found by some men that fought in the Mexican American War. They assumed that Montezuma once lived there but he didn't.

When we left the Castle we stopped on the side of the road and bought some fry bread. It tasted like funnel cake batter with cinnamon and sugar on top.

Our next stop was the Meteor Crater in Winslow Arizona. The meteor hit about 50,000 years ago

This hole in the ground doesn't look too big but its huge (about 4000 feet in diameter) and it was formed by a meteor that was pretty small.

They normally only let people view it from the top but Isaac was lucky enough to walk down to the crater floor! (or they had this scene set up inside the welcome center)
